Mediation
Attorney Diane Deckard has been practicing as a mediator for the past decade. In 1996, she completed a 40-four course in alternative dispute resolution training through ADRA. Her extensive experience in dispute resolution as a mediator has spanned a broad range of legal matters and resulted in an exceptional competence in assisting clients to arrive at equitable and positive out of court settlements.

Represented an international corporation in legal malpractice and fee dispute against AmLaw 100 law firm recovering $1M plus through mediation prior to filing suit.
Recovered $400,000 for a police office in litigation against the law firm whose negligence in representing him in connection with an internal affairs investigation resulting in his termination.
Defended a Wisconsin Bank against a claim of negligence in connection with a wire transfer resulting in a defense verdict after a 7 day jury trial. Successfully defended verdict on appeal.
Obtained summary judgment from plaintiff in a legal malpractice case against an attorney who failed to protect his client’s interests in bankruptcy court and failed to advise her that he was also representing the bankruptcy trustee.
Obtained a successful binding arbitration award in the two real estate matters to recover deposits from sellers of real property, with accompanying awards of attorneys fees.
Recovered $100,000 in settlement for clients who were negligently represented in “lemon law” case by a national firm.
Successfully defended partnership of physicians in binding arbitration of terms of Buy-Sell Agreement when one partner left the group.
Successfully represented a steel manufacturing company against a multi-million dollar sexual harassment lawsuit brought by a disgruntled ex-employee which resulted in a settlement of $5,000.
Represented a wafer fab production company against a multi-million dollar claim brought by clean room supplier by filing a countersuit which resulted in a positive net gain recovery for the client.
Successfully represented a large California poultry farmer in a multi-million dollar lease dispute by filing a countersuit which resulted in a settlement which was far less than even the cost of defense incurred by the client.
